Sable and I…It’s been one year!

It’s been one whole year since I bought Sable!!!!! It’s gone so quickly too =P So here is a video telling the story of what has happend in that year. Not everything that happened is included but I couldn’t put everything in the video, it would be to long. lol. This song is really important to me too. It describes so much that has happend to me and Sable in the past year :) “With every step you climb another mountain, Every breath it’s harder to believe, You make it through the pain, weather the hurricanes, To get to that one thing. Just when you think the road is going nowhere, Just when you almost gave up on your dreams, They take you by the hand, and show you that you can, There are no boundaries!” NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. I GAIN NO PROFIT FROM USING THIS AUDIO. IT IS USED FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.

Pranks & George – New Agistment and Updates ♥

****READ**** *Updates* Well We bought pranks :) and moved agistment because it was cheaper for 2 horses here then where I was. Pranks ended up with colic at the old agistment when I had her on trail because she got fed to much to quickly. Have had drama’s and stuff but she is all fine now. Have been lunging george a bit as you can see in the video and am going to have a light ride on him tonight to see weather i can do dressage with him :) The reason the video has a watermark is because i can’t use my Windows movie maker as it keep crashing, which is part of the reason I havent uploaded anything in a while. anyways heres lots of video’s at the new agistment enjoy ♥

Horse ownership dispute?

A good friend of mine gave me one of his horses, for free (nice standardbred gelding, ex pacer, no papers just a failed race horse on the surface) because he didn’t have time for it and I was the one who rode him all the time anyway. I moved him to a ladies house, she was a mutual friend who had land and wanted to use him as a companion horse so that was fine. I payed her for the agistment and food, I bought all the tack and rugs and wormed, drenched etc and it was all going ok although her horse became overly attached to my horse. Then there was an incident where her horse (mare, lame and never broken in) broke through the paddock fence and attacked me (yeh I know, I’d never have believed she was lame with the way she was going but her hoof is like a ball from lack of care). Luckily I was on Sarge and he is so good he didn’t bolt and protected me until help came.
Anyway, I have organised another place to keep my lovely horse and even organised another horse for her but now she’s saying my horse is her’s because he’s on her land. She wont let me see him and my friend who gave him to me says to leave it cos the horse was free anyway. But I really love my horse, he’s my first and so sweet. He bucks everyone else off but after some serious riding he’d never try that on me anymore. I’ve worked so hard on him to establish the pecking order and he even comes when I call him and gives me hugs and follows me around. I’ve spent a lot of time just hanging with him to build a relationship. He is my stress relief after work and I love nothing more than giving him a groom. Can you tell I love him?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could get him back without having to make this a legal thing?

Enquiring about agistment?

Sometime in the near future I would like to lease/buy a horse and my biggest problem is finding a place to board a horse. The unusual part is in my area all the stables either do full board only (I want to take care of them myself) or a completley full. The other idea was to ask some places around that have empty paddocks if I could keep a horse there, but Im not sure if this is a good idea and what I would pay for a field and a stable. I’m not that experienced with horses and any horse I lease/buy will probably be an older horse that wouldn’t cause too much trouble.

Nutshell version:
- Is is a good idea for me to approach someone about boarding a horse on their land?
- How much sould I pay for a paddock for a horse?

What sort of things should i be looking for with regards to agistment?

I’m hopefully getting a horse at the end of this year, and i have been scoping out places to agist my horse (i live in queensland in australia). the most likely candidate seems to be the local pony club. they charge a month, which gives you a shared paddock. you have to supply your own food, etc. and take care of the horse yourself (hence the cheaper price). i would just like to know the sorts of things i should be looking for in agistment, and if there’s anything i should watch out for. i know i’m probably getting ahead of myself here, as it will be months and months before i even get a horse, but i really want to make sure everything is just right and accounted for so that i have the minimum amout of problems in the future.

as a side note, if anyone knows of reasonably-priced agistment in burpengary, queensland i would love to hear about it :)

Centennial park agistment cost?

Does anyone know how much the agisent at centennial park (Sydney) would cost? Or around how much it costs??

Does anyone know of any good agistment in and around Sydney?

Does anyone know of any good agistment in and around Sydney? It needs to have paddocks (with grass) and an arena (plus feed and rugging so must be full agistment)….

I know of a few good places but I want to see if i’m missing any to see if I can find the best place.
Around the northern beaches area is good but willing to travel up to 40min from the CBD.
