Does anyone know of any good agistment in and around Sydney?

Does anyone know of any good agistment in and around Sydney? It needs to have paddocks (with grass) and an arena (plus feed and rugging so must be full agistment)….

I know of a few good places but I want to see if i’m missing any to see if I can find the best place.
Around the northern beaches area is good but willing to travel up to 40min from the CBD.

Please don’t answer No that’s not helpful
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers

Who pays for a horses food when it is being agisted?

My family and i are moving to a substantially large block in about 2 months, (2.5 acres) and I’ve always wanted a horse, so I’m considering a proposal of agistment to my dad. So who pays for food? The agistor or the owner?
Not going to work, its agistment or nothing. I’ve asked for a horse EVERY year since i was 5.

When do you see your horse?

I want a horse, how often do I have to see it (agistment)?
When do you see your horse?
Thanks

Horse care? And agistment in Brisbane?

Well I’ve always ridden horses, I’ve free leased about 4 horses but I really want my own now that I’m 14 and able to get a job to pay some of the costs to own one.
I live in Brisbane in the Redlands, and I need to find an agistment property to keep a horse in
The only necessities are that it has some flat land that I could ride on, it has some shelter from the sun etc and it’s no more than around a week. A website would be great!
Also if someone could give me a website or some info on the BARE MINIMUM of what’s needed to care for a horse properley that would be great too!
Thanks (:

Horse agistment?

I am getting a horse very soon and I am looking at agistment places. The closest place is about 1/2 hour away. I would probarbly be seeing the horse 2 or 3 times a week as I have school! This will be my first horse. I will still bet taking lessons. Should I do pony club? I am thinking of maybe going to a competion one day. Does anyone have any tips and could someone please tell me about when the vet should come and farrier and signs that a horse is sick?
Thanks heaps

Looking For Horse Agistment?

Are you looking for horse agistment? Well the internet is exactly the right place to start your search. You’ll find that there are quite a number horse agistment (and other services) directories on the internet. And also, many properties have created their own websites that outline the horse agistment services they offer. If you don’t have access to the internet then another great way to find horse agistment properties is in your local business or telephone directories. And most horse lovers magazines will provide advertising space for horse agistment services.

Firstly, you will need to consider how far away you will have your horse agisted. Ideally it would be best if you can find somewhere that is close to either home or work/school. And if you do have to travel, will you need to take public transport and how regular are the services. You will want to visit your horse regularly so make sure you can get there easily.

Next you will need to decide what services you are willing to provide yourself, and what you would like the agistment provider to do for you. While deciding this, you will be need to consider how much time you will have to look after your horse yourself and if you don’t have much time, how much are you prepared to pay to for these services. If you have plenty of time you may be able to do most of the care yourself and just have outdoor grazing and shelter available. But if your time is limited you will need to consider the costs of having everything done for you.

Horse AgistmentOnce you have figured out what your requirements are, find 2 or 3 properties that fit into your criteria and make an appointment to go out and see them. This will give you something to compare against as each site can be vastly different. You will want to look out for things like, how well maintained are the grounds and stables, do other horses look healthy and happy. Find out exactly what equipment you will need to provide yourself and if they have storage facilities. In particular, find out if there are any restrictions on the hours that you may visit, this will be especially important if you are doing a lot of the care yourself.

Once you have decided on which horse agistment provider you will use, be sure to have a contract drawn up and signed by both parties. You horse agistment provider should provide this as they will have contracts in place with all the horse owners. This will include details of what services are to be included, the payment terms and conditions and what is expected of each party. This is an important piece of paperwork that you must have completed before bringing your horse to the site. It will outline exactly what the terms are and will stop any problems arising in the future.
